Adult Home Help Services

Genesis Care Network provides non-medical, in-home support through the Adult Home Help Program, helping individuals with daily living activities so they can remain safe, independent, and maintain quality of life at home. We deliver person-centered care tailored to each individual’s needs and work closely with families and care teams to ensure services are respectful, safe, and aligned with care plans while promoting long-term independence.

Program Goals

  • Support individuals in remaining safely in their homes

  • Promote independence and self-sufficiency

  • Reduce hospitalizations and institutional placements

  • Improve overall quality of life and well-being

  • Provide reliable, compassionate, and consistent care

Targeted Population

Genesis Care Network serves adults who:

  • Are eligible for the Michigan Adult Home Help Program

  • Require assistance with daily living activities

  • Prefer to remain in their home rather than institutional care

  • May be elderly, disabled, or managing chronic conditions

Services Provided

Genesis Care Network provides assistance with the following Adult Home Help–approved tasks, based on individual needs and MDHHS authorization:

  • Bathing and personal hygiene

  • Dressing and grooming

  • Toileting and incontinence care

  • Mobility and transfers (e.g., moving from bed to chair)

  • Eating and feeding assistance

Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)

  • Meal planning and preparation

  • Light housekeeping (cleaning, laundry, organizing living space)

  • Shopping and errands (as appropriate)

  • Medication reminders (non-clinical)

  • Assistance with daily routines and organization
