Meet the Founders
Katherine “Katie” Krick
Katherine “Katie” Krick is a mission-driven visionary whose work centers on improving health outcomes and helping individuals and communities live healthier, more independent lives.
Her focus remains consistent: building initiatives that strengthen the conditions necessary for human well-being. With a deep understanding that health is shaped not only by medical care, but also by environments, relationships, and support systems, she has played a key role in shaping the vision and foundation of Genesis Care Network.
Grounded in her Christian faith, she believes people are created to live flourishing lives. This belief continues to guide her work as she seeks to remove barriers that prevent individuals and families from experiencing freedom, health, and dignity—recognizing that lasting change often begins from within.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Relations & Policy from Michigan State University’s James Madison College, with a minor in Women’s Studies and Sexual Conflict. Her professional background includes licensure in Life, Accident & Health and Property & Casualty insurance, providing a strong foundation in systems that impact access to care and resources.
Katie is actively engaged in community leadership, serving as a Board Member and Vice President of Hospice of Lansing and as a Board Member of the Rotary Club of Lansing. Her past leadership includes service with the Lansing Women’s Forum and the Meridian Area Business Association. Earlier in her career, she served as a Sexual Assault Crisis Intervention Advocate at Michigan State University, reflecting a longstanding commitment to advocacy and support for vulnerable populations.
She remains committed to developing services and environments that support stronger individuals, healthier families, and more resilient communities.
Shaun Krick
Shaun Krick is a community-focused leader whose work centers on stewardship, service, and strengthening the institutions that support individuals and families. Through decades of involvement in his local church and broader community, he has remained committed to fostering environments where people are supported, cared for, and able to live with dignity and stability.
He brings more than 20 years of experience in accounting, audit, and risk management, with deep expertise in internal audit leadership across regulatory, operational, and financial services environments. In his professional career, he has provided strategic oversight of enterprise audit activities, partnered with senior and executive leadership to strengthen risk management practices, and led high-performing teams that drive operational improvement, compliance, and organizational resilience.
Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a strong ability to translate complex challenges into practical solutions, build trusted relationships with executive stakeholders, and implement systems that enhance accountability and long-term sustainability. His leadership experience includes playing a key role in large-scale organizational initiatives, including supporting the successful transition of a financial services organization into a standalone publicly traded company.
He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), and holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from Michigan State University.
In addition to his professional work, he is deeply engaged in community leadership. He serves as Audit Committee Chair for the Institute of Internal Auditors (Lansing Chapter) and as co-director of Ele’s Race, a leading fundraiser supporting children and families navigating grief. He has also served for many years as treasurer of his church, reflecting a long-standing commitment to stewardship and service.
Guided by a passion for strengthening communities, he works to support initiatives and systems that enable individuals and families to live healthier, more independent, and dignified lives in the place they call home.
